Asuka Langley cosplay — red plugsuit and the Lance of Longinus

Of the Asuka Langley galleries on this site, this is the weapon set. The red EVA-02 plugsuit is shot against a dark backdrop with the Lance of Longinus — the double-helix spear that ends both the series and the Rebuild films — carried through most of the ten frames as a real full-length prop rather than a cropped one.

Costume

The glossy red plugsuit with the "02" designation, the interface headset, the orange twin tails and the red hair clips. Because the backdrop is dark and the light is crimson, the plugsuit's gloss is the only thing separating the figure from the background in several frames — which is why the poses are open rather than closed.

The sequence

Kneeling with the weapon opens the set under neon. Then a seated frame in crimson, a standing pose holding the spear, an arms-raised-behind-the-head stance, a hands-on-hips full body against black, a cross-legged seated frame with the weapon vertical, and a trident-style hold under neon. The last three photos switch the key to blue: a forward lunge with the weapon, a kneeling frame touching the hair in blue-violet, and a low crouch looking back over the shoulder.
