Bright turquoise-blue light fills the backdrop, strongest behind the head and shoulders and deepening to blue in the corners above a matte bluish floor. Asuka Langley lunges forward in a wide, bent-legged stance, leaning to one side in three-quarter view. One arm draws the spear back on a diagonal; the other hand comes up in front of her body, palm open and turned upward.

The cool blue sits close to the opposite of the suit's red, which sharpens every edge of the costume. The slant of the shaft repeats the line of the far leg, the two-pronged tip shows near the floor, and the "02" marking stays uncovered on the chest.

Her eyes aim just above the camera, with a confident, defiant expression that matches the attacking stance.
