A2 cosplay — YoRHa Type A No.2 in blue

A2 is the deserter — an older-model YoRHa android with the long white hair and the scarred, stripped-back version of the uniform. It is the tightest of the four NieR sets on this site: ten frames, one studio, one stool, a saturated blue backdrop and a dark grey one, and a long sword that stays in all but one frame.

Working inside one setup

Locking a set to two backdrops and a single prop forces the variation into posture, and that is exactly what happens here. The stool is used seven different ways — seated square to camera with the sword across the thighs, side-on with a leg lifted, knee raised with the sword resting on the floor, seated wide with the blade held upright before her. Between them sit a hands-on-hips shot in the cutout top and shorts, a power pose with the sword across the shoulders, and a rear view of the embroidered hem, the stocking and the boot.

Costume

Glossy black faux-leather top with cutouts and a silver-embroidered hem, high-cut shorts with garter straps, long gloves, one thigh-high boot and one sheer stocking, heels, the long white hair, and a tasseled katana as a full-length prop.
