A raised red glove covers the eyes, fingers spread wide, and the head tips slightly forward. Asuka Langley faces the camera straight on in a waist-up frame shot from a little above, so only the relaxed lower half of her face shows, lips slightly parted, between the hand and the thick waves of the copper wig.

Behind her is a bright studio corner of white rectangular tiles divided by thin black grid lines. Soft, even light keeps the highlights on the suit controlled, and against the plain tile the geometric orange cuff of the long glove reads clearly. Curving strands of hair cross the straight lines of the grid.

Where most frames in the set meet the lens head-on, this one hides the eyes completely.
