Asuka Langley Cosplay — Red Plugsuit CRT Studio, Photo 2

A deep blue wall and one glowing line of pale blue neon, bent into a corner behind her shoulder, make up nearly the whole setting for this intimate portrait of Asuka Langley. She stands with both hands on her waist and her shoulders squared, the camera placed low, and looks down into the lens with a restrained, commanding expression.

Hard, directional light cuts deep shadows into the dark studio and lays bright specular streaks along the torso of the red plugsuit, and the heavy orange glove cuffs pick up highlights of their own. A green rim light runs through the long copper wig from behind, separating the hair from both the red suit and the blue wall. Over one eye sits the black eyepatch.
