Yoko Littner cosplay from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Yoko Littner — Yoko Ritona in the Japanese script — is the sniper of Team Dai-Gurren, and this studio set of ten photographs is built around the two things that make her readable at a glance: the flame-pattern bikini and the rifle. Every frame was lit with coloured gels through haze, so the same costume reads crimson in one photo and emerald in the next without a single change of outfit.

The costume

The build covers the whole Gurren Lagann look — flame-print bikini top, wide white belt, long black gloves with the armoured forearm guard, thigh-high boots, the skull hair clip, and hair long enough to swing. The sniper rifle is a full-length prop rather than a cropped one, which is why it can be carried diagonally across the body in the opening frame and braced upright in the kneeling shot.

Frame by frame

The set moves through five lighting states instead of repeating one. Crimson smoke opens it with a standing rifle pose. Green neon carries the folded-arms portrait and the hair-flip frame, caught mid-turn with the hair still in the air. Purple haze covers the kneeling shot, a pink backdrop and a black wire chair give the one seated pin-up frame, and a blue gel wall closes the sequence. Each photo has its own page with a description of the pose and the light.
