Rei Ayanami Cosplay — Poolside Summer Garden, Photo 7

Arms stretched out to either side, Rei Ayanami sits upright in a black-and-white striped rope hammock, a hand on each side holding on. Her back is straight, her knees point forward and her shins cross to make a narrow base. She faces the camera square on with a barely visible smile, framed full length from waist height.

The ropes run from her hands up toward the top corners of the picture, so the figure widens into a V above the crossed shins. A striped cushion behind her back repeats the black-and-white graphics of the suit. Below the hammock the grass is scattered with patches of sun, and olive trunks stand behind her.

The earlier hammock frame folds in on itself; here the arms spread wide along the ropes and the whole pose opens outward.
