Gerudo Link cosplay — the vai disguise from Breath of the Wild

To get into Gerudo Town, Link has to buy the Gerudo set from Vilia and pass as vai. It is one of the few canonical outfits in The Legend of Zelda that exists specifically as a disguise, and it is the reason the set works as a character study rather than a costume showcase — the veil is the whole point, and half the frames are about what it hides.

The outfit

The build is the full three-piece set: the emerald-patterned top with the open back, the violet sirwal drape, the ornate belt and jewellery, and the patterned veil mask. Link's pointed ear is visible in the close-up frame, which is the one detail the disguise never covers and the detail the game jokes about.

Poses and light

Warm desert amber holds the kneeling opener, the reaching frame and the reclining shot with the hand extended. Cool blue takes the sofa frame; a teal gradient carries the profile shot where the veil is being adjusted; a purple-blue gradient covers the ottoman pose; and a plain black backdrop is used for the finger-to-lips frame — the most direct reference to the disguise in the set. The last of the ten images is shot from behind to show the open-back top and the belt work.
