Akame ga Kill!

Photo 2 of 10

Here Esdeath sits astride the arm of the sofa with her rapier in hand. The thin steel blade with its blue grip and rounded guard cuts diagonally up across the frame, while her other hand braces on the armrest. She looks off to the side, lips parted, alert rather than posed.

The camera is slightly above her, and the figure fills almost the whole height of the vertical frame. The white thigh-high stockings with black lacing, the double-breasted uniform and the checkered band of the cap all stay crisp against the soft gray forest mural.

The rapier is Esdeath's weapon in the series, and this is the frame that introduces it.
