Asuka Langley Cosplay — Bamboo Forest, Photo 4

Seen from slightly below, Asuka Langley stands squarely facing the camera beside a metal mesh fence, hands brought together in front of her waist and shoulders drawn a little back. Her expression is serious and focused, eyes straight on the lens. Tall bamboo stalks and trees rise behind her, with dense green bushes filling the gaps.

The portrait crop moves attention from the full costume to the collar, the shoulders and the face. Sunlight breaking through the bamboo picks out the edges of the orange twin tails and the glossy shoulders of the white Rebuild plugsuit, where the round red shoulder pieces and the red piping at the collar stand out against the green. The rest of the grove stays in shade, so the contrast of sun and shadow carries the frame.
