Turned about three-quarters, one shoulder angled toward the lens, Asuka Langley holds one arm by the forearm and tilts her head toward the camera with a slight, soft smile. The frame is tighter than a full-length shot, and the shaded bamboo and trees behind her stay dark green.

Coming in closer puts the costume texture up front. The glossy white surface of the Rebuild plugsuit keeps its detail in the dappled light, the red contours across the chest and the round red shoulder piece stand out against the forest shade, and the red interface clips sit at the base of the orange twin tails, which stay bright against the background.

In Neon Genesis Evangelion those clips are the interface headset every Eva pilot wears, and Asuka is known for wearing hers as everyday hair clips.
