Asuka Langley Cosplay — Bamboo Forest, Photo 7

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Photo 7 of 10

One hand raised to her chin and the other hand on her hip, Asuka Langley stands full length on a long bamboo walkway, back slightly arched, chin lifted and eyes on the camera. Tall dry reed fences border the path, the bamboo above them darker than the suit, and the walkway runs back to a bright opening in the distance.

The long walkway frames the full costume against the darker bamboo. The wide stance opens up the dark blue angular panels on the thighs and puts the white sneakers squarely on the path, while the red clips and orange twin tails sit high against the green.

Compared with a straight standing shot, the hand at the chin and the arched back give the frame a lighter, more playful tone.
