A slightly low viewpoint lifts the figure against the sky. Behind her lies the Himeji Castle moat, with its water, a stone wall, a wooden bridge, landscaped trees and a lawn edged by a low rope fence.

An overcast gray-white sky gives soft, low-contrast light, and at this distance the details at the neck read clearly: a black velvet choker, a thin black chain with a small triangular pendant, and a small star-shaped earring. The pale yellow sleeveless dress, its narrow straps tied in bows, keeps the palette gentle against the green park.

It is the more open of the two moat frames: a broad smile straight at the camera, where the other one looks down into the lens with a cooler air.
