Queen Mera cosplay — Aquaman

Mera is the Xebelian hydrokinetic and queen consort of Atlantis, and her costume belongs to a very small group in DC that is genuinely improved by being wet. The ten photographs take that literally: part of it was shot under an actual waterfall, with the emerald scale bodysuit soaked and the red hair heavy with water, and the rest in a controlled blue studio.

Costume and prop

The emerald green scale bodysuit is the centrepiece — a repeating scale texture that needs directional light to read at all — worn with the long red hair and a golden trident prop that appears in three frames.

Water, then studio

The waterfall frame opens the set and is the only one shot in falling water. From there the set moves to a blue studio: a portrait with both hands in the hair, a seated frame raising the trident, a frontal pose with the trident and a raised hand, an elegant portrait touching the hair in cool blue, a symmetric open-armed full body against a blue backdrop, a seated diagonal, a forward lean with a direct gaze, a mid-jump action shot with the trident and the hair in motion, and a floating pose with raised arms against vivid green.
