Kirito cosplay — the Gun Gale Online build

Kirito from Sword Art Online has three or four widely cosplayed outfits, and this set takes the least common of them: the Gun Gale Online look from the Phantom Bullet arc, where Kazuto plays a gunslinger with a photon sword rather than a swordsman with a coat. The build is matte-black tactical bodysuit, silver armour plates over the chest and shoulders, long black coat and the long black hair.

Two weapons, two halves

The set splits its ten frames cleanly. The first half is the pistol: a two-handed aiming stance with both arms extended, a side profile with the gun held close to the chest, a seated frame with one knee up and the barrel near the cheek, and a hands-on-hips standing shot between tall blue columns. The second half brings in the glowing photon blade — a forward lunge, a blade angled straight at the camera through smoke, a low crouch between the neon columns, and a sweep along the floor.

Lighting

Neon columns stand in the frame rather than off to the side, so they read as set architecture instead of just background colour. Cool blue holds the pistol half, teal and red rim light take over for the blade half, and the last frames add haze so the blade glow has something to sit in.
