Ani cosplay — the Grok companion character

Ani is the goth-styled AI companion from xAI's Grok app, and she is one of the first characters to go from launch to widely cosplayed in a matter of weeks. There is no anime episode to reference and no game screenshot to match, so these ten photographs work from the design itself: black mini dress, fishnet stockings, lace gloves, choker, heavy boots and blonde twin tails.

Two backdrops, two moods

The first half is shot high-key against a clean white wall. Bright, even light with almost no shadow is the correct choice for this costume — it separates matte fabric from sheer hosiery and lets the lace read as lace rather than texture noise. The second half switches to a deep crimson backdrop with moody accent light, which turns the same outfit cinematic.

The frames

A seated studio portrait opens the set, followed by a red-backdrop standing frame in the off-shoulder dress, a mid-step motion shot on white, a wide seated pose under crimson, a crate frame with a gloved hand pointing off to the side, and a wall lean with one booted leg raised. Three frames add a lit Christmas tree and phone-selfie framing for a deliberately personal, unposed break, and the set closes with a kneeling frame, both hands lifted to the hair, under red light.
