Samus Aran Cosplay — Zero Suit Neon Studio, Photo 9

Samus Aran kneels low on the gray floor with her knees set wide and the blaster laid diagonally across the front of her thighs. One hand keeps hold of it and the other rests on her leg. Her shoulders turn slightly and she looks past the left edge of the frame, wary and closed off.

Red light comes in hard from one side and pushes the black metal rack behind her into deep shadow, each rectangular section a dark cell against the bare brick. Softer light from the front picks out the glossy blue bodysuit with its light-blue highlights, dark panels and ragged cuts across the chest and knees. On the backs of the gloves, above the thick yellow-and-gray cuffs, pink-and-white emblems glow against the blue.

Compact and grounded, the pose keeps the weapon ready at hand rather than aimed.
