Saturated blue fills the frame, with a pale circle of light behind the head. Shinji Ikari kneels upright on both knees, one gloved hand resting at the collarbone and the other lowered along the center of the body. The chin is raised and the eyes look up and out of the frame, thoughtful and faintly vulnerable.

The vertical frame holds the kneeling figure at full length, with the lens around waist height and a little below the face. White front fill keeps the face and chest panels clean while the deep blue of the plugsuit sinks into dark blue shadow, and the sheen of the catsuit picks up the cool blue light.

The first kneeling frame of the set looks down on its pose; this one looks up, and the lifted gaze makes it the more private of the two, a femboy portrait whose trap undertone rests on closeness and restraint.
