The closing frame of the set is a full-length portrait on a white seamless backdrop. Shinji Ikari stands with feet shoulder-width apart, one hand holding a tall red spear upright at his side and the other on the waist, elbow out, meeting the camera with a confident, composed expression.

The prop is the Lance of Longinus, standing point-up and shown almost at full length. Its red shaft runs parallel to the vertical line of the body, and under even, neutral high-key light it is the strongest color in the picture, ahead of the blue of the plugsuit. Soft cool shadows gather at the feet and the base of the spear.

In Neon Genesis Evangelion the Lance is a long red weapon with a forked, double-pronged tip, and the prop keeps that shape.
