The palette is warm here, and the camera comes in closer for a more intimate portrait. Ryuko Matoi faces the lens square on, her left arm bent at the waist and her right gloved fist raised beside her shoulder, ready for a fight.

The raised fist does the work a weapon does elsewhere in the set, and its short vertical repeats the red zipper down the cropped Senketsu top. The bent elbows close the torso into a compact triangle, and with nothing held across the body the collar reads clearly: the large open sailor collar and the stiff pointed shoulder pieces with their red and gold inner detailing.

The backdrop glows yellow-orange at the center and darkens to red-brown at the edges. Directional light from the front left draws hard highlights in the glossy folds and stays soft on the face.
