The only full-length standing frame in the set. Rei Ayanami rests her weight on one leg with the other eased forward, one gloved hand raised by the shoulder with the fingers open, the other arm hanging loose. The head tilts slightly and she looks straight into the lens with a calm, neutral face, the restrained half-greeting that suits the First Child.

The camera sits at about waist height and takes in the whole figure down to the white heeled boots. That shows the full build of the costume at once: the glossy white plugsuit with its green accents and center zipper, the black straps over bare shoulders, the red collar, the long white gloves with black palms and the black-and-white leg sections above the boots.

Behind her, rows of stacked CRT televisions glow in cool blue with red edges from the side lights, and the black glossy floor picks up their reflections. The white suit stays the brightest thing in the frame.
