Asuka Langley Cosplay — White Plugsuit Smoke Studio, Photo 4

Deep crimson foil fills the background edge to edge, crinkled so it throws the red light back in uneven patches, while thick white smoke rolls in from the right and around the head and shoulders. Asuka Langley stands full length in the middle, weight on one leg, one arm folded across her body and the other hand lifted. She looks straight at the lens, serious and guarded.

Against a single red field the white suit reads almost like a cutout. The red collar, the chest panel with its central lozenge and curved red lines, the "02" marking, the gray hip band and the dark chevrons on the thighs all hold clearly, and the auburn twin tails rest on both shoulders.

In Neon Genesis Evangelion, Asuka's plugsuit and her Eva, Unit-02, are red. Here the red belongs to the room, and she stands in white at its center.
