Final Fantasy VII

Photo 10 of 10

One red boot is planted on the bar counter and the other on the seat of a blue stool: Tifa Lockhart sits sideways on the counter's edge, leaning forward with her hands relaxed on her legs. Turned three-quarters to the camera, she looks into the lens from under a slightly tilted head, smiling a little.

The boots lead the composition. With the camera level or slightly low, the eye travels from the laced red boots up through the black thigh-high stockings and glossy skirt to the white crop top, and the worn upholstery of the stool shows under one sole. Warm light from the front and above puts clear highlights on hair, skin and boots, while a saturated blue backlight behind the black hair separates her from the shelves of bottles and red-and-gold damask wallpaper.
