Final Fantasy VII

Photo 1 of 10

Kneeling on a dark gym floor, knees apart, Tifa Lockhart raises both arms in a double flex, fists turned in toward her head. The pose is nearly symmetrical and square to a camera at about chest height, and the kneel partly hides the boots. Her head tips back slightly as she looks down into the lens, restrained and confident.

A wall of large rectangular panels behind her falls into graphite gray, and the key light comes from the front left. Against that dark ground the white crop top is the brightest shape, crossed by long black suspender straps, with the glossy skirt, thigh-high stockings, long black gloves, red-and-black forearm guards and a silver bracer around it. A little red boot lacing shows between the knees.

As the opening photo, it leads with the fighter: in Final Fantasy VII, Tifa is a martial artist who fights with her fists.
