Final Fantasy VII

Photo 3 of 10

Heavy burgundy curtains hang behind a run of wooden steps, and on one step Tifa Lockhart balances on a single leg, the other bent back behind her. One arm stretches straight up and the other bends with its forearm resting on her head, and she looks straight into the lens with a serious, collected expression. The camera stays near waist height, and the frame holds the full figure.

A large plant in a terracotta pot fills the right third of the picture. Warm front light stays soft on the skin, while a red fill from low on the left leaves reflections in the pleats of the glossy black skirt. The laced red boots with their white details, and the thigh-high stockings above them, stand out against the wood of the step.

A held balance rather than a strike, it fits the training side of the set; in the game, Tifa learned her martial arts from Zangan.
