An empty Osaka road under a concrete railway bridge, with Tifa Lockhart standing alone in the middle of the frame. Heavy girders cross overhead, the road runs out behind her, and there is nothing else in the picture — the widest and emptiest composition in the set.

Industrial infrastructure is the closest real-world analogue to Midgar's upper plate, and shooting a Final Fantasy VII character beneath it does most of the referencing without needing a single visual effect. The flat overcast light keeps the concrete grey and neutral so the white tank and red boots carry all the colour in the frame.

Standing straight, arms loose, no action pose. In a set of ten photographs this one functions as the establishing shot — the frame that says where all the others were taken.
