Industrial infrastructure is the closest real-world analog to Midgar's upper plate, and shooting a Final Fantasy VII character beneath it does most of the referencing without needing a single visual effect. The flat overcast light keeps the concrete gray and neutral so the white tank and red armguard carry all the color in the frame.

Standing straight, one hand in her hair, no action pose. In a set of ten photographs this one functions as the establishing shot — the frame that says where all the others were taken.
