Frieren Cosplay — Sunlit Forest Ruins, Photo 9

Only her back is visible: Frieren walks away from the camera along an uneven stone path, one foot ahead of the other and her arms held slightly out from her sides for balance. Her face never appears, and the direction of the walk, deeper into the ruins, does the work instead.

From low down, near the level of the path, the paving and broken walls on either side converge toward the white capelet at the center of the frame. The back view shows parts of the costume that other angles miss: the gold edge of the capelet, the black belt at the waist and the full length of the silver ponytails. Overgrown edges, shrubs and empty window openings surround her.

Much of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is told through walking, on a journey north that takes her back through places she once passed with the hero's party.
