The set opens in the woods. Quiet stands square to the camera with a full-length sniper rifle held level across her body — the olive-green glove on the grip, the long black glove under the barrel — and looks down into the lens with a flat, unhurried expression. The scope and the long suppressed barrel run almost the full width of the frame.

The camera sits low, so the pines and birches rise behind her and close in overhead, with soft daylight breaking through the branches. The red stun-grenade canisters on the harness are the only warm color in a frame of dark greens and black.

A sniper is most at home where she cannot be seen, and the forest makes that the first thing the gallery says.
