NieR:Replicant

Photo 9 of 10

Kaine stands inside a doorway, one arm raised to the top of the door frame so it forms an arch over her head, the other hand on her hip, and her legs crossed with the bandaged one stepped forward. Her body curves gently to one side and her eyes are lowered, away from the camera, with a relaxed, thoughtful expression.

The door frame acts as a frame within the frame, with a pale panel at the left edge. Through the opening the room behind is dark and full of plants, with ceiling beams and a hanging lamp picked out by muted purple-pink backlight. A neutral light from the front keeps the costume clear, and the glossy gloves and heels throw small bright highlights. With the camera at waist height, the raised arm stretches the silhouette into one long vertical line.
