Quiet Cosplay — Dark Tactical Studio, Photo 1

Water spills from a canteen that Quiet holds up at her temple, the drops frozen in the air. She stands turned three-quarters, head tipped back toward the canteen and eyes on the lens, her expression restrained and tired, lips slightly parted, while the arm in the long black glove bends across her waist.

Framed from mid-thigh up, she is lit from the upper left by contrasty, soft-edged light that catches each drop and the wet-look shine on her skin against a plain seamless backdrop. The glossy black top, the olive harness with its metal buckles and the belt pouches read clearly, as does the black eye makeup running down in streaks like a mask.

Pouring the water over herself instead of drinking it makes a fitting first frame for a character who, in Metal Gear Solid V, breathes through her skin.
