Holding both twin tails symmetrically at waist level, Hatsune Miku looks straight into the camera, head tipped slightly back and lips parted, her expression calm and sure. The camera sits slightly low and closer in than a full-length shot for a more intimate crop, giving room to the striped top, the long tie and the turquoise nails.

Behind her, the library has dissolved almost entirely into circles of color: gold from the tree lights, red and amber from a pine garland and warm lamps, with the bookshelves only just readable. Red-gold backlight rims her from both sides, and a soft front light keeps the face even.

Against so much red and amber, the turquoise of the hair, tie and nails supplies the cool contrast, and it is the color most closely tied to Miku.
