Seated at a white brick fireplace, Hatsune Miku props herself on both palms and leans back slightly, one leg stretched toward the camera and the other bent to the side. Her gaze drifts up and past the lens, lips parted, calm and a little dreamy. Shot full length from just below face height, the intimate fireside frame pushes one pointed mint-green heel into the foreground.

The pale brick does most of the work: her turquoise twin tails fall almost to the floor against it. Around the hearth are a pine garland, red Christmas stockings with small gnomes, gift boxes and a tree hung with red and gold ornaments, its lights softly blurred. A long green plush lies near her right hand.

As the opening frame, it shows the whole costume: striped boudoir two-piece, turquoise tie, black detached sleeves and thigh-high stockings, in the turquoise-and-black scheme of Miku's standard design.
