One frame in the set trades the staff for a bottle of Jägermeister. Frieren faces the camera straight on and holds the dark bottle out to one side, its green, white and orange label in view, while her other hand opens out to the side. She glances slightly to the right with a pleased, ironic smile.

The joke works because nothing else changes. The white-and-gold mage costume, the long silver hair and the candlelit room are the same as in the serious frames, and a large crystal chandelier hangs above her shoulder in this horizontal shot, cropped at the hips and taken from chest height. Warm light keeps the modern prop and the fantasy costume in one color range.

Most names in the series come from German words, and hers is the German verb for “to freeze,” so a German herbal liqueur is at least a prop from the same language.
