Attack on Titan

Photo 3 of 10

Shot from well below, the Female Titan stands with both hands on her hips, elbows wide and shoulders back, facing the camera. Her chin is lifted, so her gaze passes just under the lens, and behind her jagged, pale mountain peaks sit under a dark blue sky and heavy gray-white cloud.

The low angle enlarges the figure against the landscape. The elbows make a wide horizontal line while the peaks add a jagged one. The anatomical bodysuit reads clearly from the neck down past the hips: red muscle fibers along the arms and sides, pale segmented shapes over the abdomen and ribs. The figure is lit warm while the mountains stay a cool blue-gray.

In Attack on Titan the Female Titan is first seen in open country beyond the walls, and the low angle against the peaks gives the costume a similar sense of size.
